◊ How does shipping work?
Citizen Atelier is a curated global marketplace where each artist ships directly from their respective ateliers. This ensures that they put the finishing touches on each piece. Before accepting a seller into our elite group of international artists, our staff ensures that their philosophy entails packaging and shipping their work with utmost care and professional materials.
◊ What are your shipping costs?
Shipping costs vary by artist. Unless otherwise specified, they ship from their country of origin directly to you. Artists have set a flat shipping rate for Canada, United States and the European Union. The prices are determined by the dimensions/weight of the artwork, as well as the seller’s location. The cost of shipping will be calculated at checkout.
◊ How long will it take to receive my work of art?
All art is shipped directly to you from the artist. Delivery times vary based on their location and whether the art is custom-printed. Please see the item listings for approximate delivery lead times.
◊ Do you ship internationally?
Yes! For orders placed outside of Canada, the United States and the European Union, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for a customized quote.
◊ Do I have to pay for taxes or customs & duties?
American and international residents will not be charged taxes. Canadian residents will be required to pay a provincial sales tax on their orders. When you proceed to purchase at checkout, sales tax will be calculated on the total value.
Customs and duties may potentially be charged upon receipt of your package. Thanks to NAFTA, in most cases, duties and taxes will not be charged if you live in North America and are purchasing art from a North American artist. These fees may nonetheless be charged and are the buyer’s responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to making a purchase.
◊ How is the artwork packaged?
Our artists have years of experience in carefully packaging and shipping their art. Most pieces are sent out in a rolled tube, and are carefully packaged to ensure you receive your order in pristine condition.
◊ Do you offer exchanges and returns?
We will gladly exchange art for another piece of equal or lesser value if you received the incorrect image or size. Should you need to return your print due to one of the above reasons, please contact us at: email@example.com for details on how to proceed. As many pieces of art are made to order, we currently do not offer any exchanges or refunds for other reasons.
